A Pre-Origin Structure of DAO

— A method by which records exist without a center —

This page does not describe the historical origin of DAO as a blockchain organization.

It explores a structural condition that existed before DAO became a system, as later formalized on blockchain platforms.

The Concept at the Origin of DAO

The essence of a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization)
lies in the absence of a central administrator or aggregation point.

There is no one who judges.
No one who grants approval.
No entity that consolidates results.

What exists instead is a structure in which
each individual act remains as it is,
distributed and uncollected.

The “Origin of DAO” presented on this page
addresses the smallest possible point of origin,
prior to DAO becoming an organization or an institution.

What is a Record (mark)?

A Record (mark) is a quiet trace
indicating that someone once touched this place.

It is not an achievement.
Not an accomplishment.
Not a declaration or a statement of participation.

Only the fact remains:

“this place was touched.”

Why No Permission or Qualification Is Required

This Record contains no concepts such as:

  • Participation requirements
  • Registration procedures
  • DAO membership status
  • Voting rights or assigned roles

This is because no one’s judgment is involved.
The Origin makes no judgments at all.

How the Record Is Made (Wallet Signature)

A Record is established through
a transaction sent directly from your own wallet.

What remains on the blockchain is only:

  • The wallet address
  • The time of execution
  • The transaction history

No intention, purpose, meaning, or evaluation is recorded.

Your signature remains as it is,
unaltered and intact.

Additional Note: Recording Without Value Transfer

As an additional method,
a Record can also be created by
calling a function such as mark()
and signing the transaction with value = 0.

In this case,
no token transfer occurs.
No value is moved.

Only the act itself—
executed and signed by the wallet—
is recorded on the blockchain as an Event.

Supplement: About the Transaction Amount

This Record (mark) can be established
with even the smallest possible transaction.

For example,
even a transfer of 0.00001 WETH
is recorded as a valid transaction
on the Polygon blockchain.

What matters is not the amount.
Nor the magnitude of value.

The act itself—issued directly from the wallet—
is what remains as a quiet trace.

Why the Minimum Amount Is Sufficient

This Method of Origin of DAO does not deal with concepts such as:

  • Donation size
  • Degree of contribution
  • Influence or power

Increasing the amount does not increase meaning or authority.

The very fact that the minimum amount is sufficient
guarantees a structure without a center.

About ORIGIN

— Nothing happens —

Through this Record:

  • Nothing is generated
  • No rewards, rights, or roles are created

Truly, nothing happens.

And yet, this state of “nothing happening” itself
is fixed as the origin of the DAO.

No aggregation of results.
No assignment of meaning.
No acts of judgment.

All of this remains on the blockchain
purely as structure.

Held by Individuals, Without a Center

  • Records are held by individuals
  • No central administrator exists
  • Acts remain distributed

This structure existed
even before DAO was spoken of as an ideology.

The method presented here
does not visualize it,
does not institutionalize it,
but simply leaves it as it is.

That is the Method of Origin of DAO.

Conclusion

This is not a mechanism for participation.
Nor is it a method of operation.

It is a way to leave intact
the silent origin that exists
before DAO comes into being.

Because nothing happens,
it is guaranteed.

And for that very reason,
it continues to exist
as an origin that belongs to no one.
